How to implement a external authentication considering old customers?

If a company implement the external login on whitelabel, how should we deal with the current customers that was subscribed on the system from register page?

If you set up external authorization on the Promptchat site, then you will no longer log in using the previous login and password, but will be authorized through the external site. You log in to the Promptchat project from an external site.
This is such a peculiarity of the project. This is due to the fact that we can only authorize from one system and if we authorize from an external site, then the authorization data from the internal site is deleted

Is there a way to implement something for matchig the user if we use the same email/password?
This way we won´t lose that user history.
