We’ve identified a bug affecting the chatboard dashboard for a customer using your WhatsApp integration.
Issue Summary:
When a Facebook advert is clicked via the “WhatsApp” button, it correctly routes the prospect to the customer’s WhatsApp channel. However, if the prospect then forwards the advert/post within WhatsApp, the message appears in the WhatsApp chat, but the content does not display in the Promptchat chatboard conversation.
Impact:
This creates a communication gap in the chatboard, as it appears the user has messaged but no content is visible—causing confusion and potential lead loss.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Click a Facebook advert with a WhatsApp CTA.
- Forward that advert as a message via WhatsApp to the business.
- Observe: message content appears in WhatsApp but is missing in Promptchat chatboard.
Please investigate and confirm:
- If this is a known limitation with forwarded rich content.
- Whether there's a fix or workaround (e.g. fallback message, media proxy).
